The Center’s Driving Force

A key strength of the center’s faculty lies in its outstanding staff, comprised of a number of hard-working individuals and internationally-renowned researchers. Members of the PACRC’s dedicated personnel are based both here on the Big Island of Hawaii and in other regions of the Pacific where we work. Most are full-time, but we also have a substantial number of consultants, interns, volunteers, and students. Our aquaculture scientists have exceptional credentials across a wide range of disciplines and many of our personnel have published research in prominent scientific publications.

Our staff comes from all over the world and we value the diverse range of experience that this brings. Building a region-wide center for sustainable aquaculture and coastal resource management is a process that requires longterm sustained effort. The patience and dedication of our staff in this endeavour has been phenomenal.
